01. Our commitment.

Vitranova is committed to making vitranovasurfaces.com accessible to commercial buyers regardless of ability.

  • We design and build the website to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards.
  • Accessibility is part of our design system, not an afterthought.
  • We review new pages and features against these standards before release.

02. Measures we take.

The following practices are applied across the website.

  • Semantic HTML structure with logical heading hierarchy on every page.
  • Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements, including links, buttons, and form fields.
  • Form fields paired with visible labels. Placeholders supplement labels but do not replace them.
  • Meaningful alt text on all informative images.
  • Colour contrast ratios that meet WCAG 2.1 AA requirements for text and interactive elements.
  • Motion and animation respect the prefers-reduced-motion system setting.
  • Skip navigation and landmark regions to support screen reader and keyboard users.

03. Compatibility.

The website is tested on the latest two versions of major desktop and mobile browsers.

  • Supported browsers include Chrome, Safari, Edge, and Firefox.
  • The site is responsive across desktop, tablet, and mobile breakpoints.
  • We do not require specific plugins or proprietary software to access core content.

04. Known limitations.

Some content types present inherent accessibility challenges. We document them here.

  • Catalog PDFs are provided by manufacturers and may not meet full accessibility standards. Contact us for alternative formats.
  • Product photography relies on visual detail to convey colour and texture. Supplementary text descriptions are provided where feasible.
  • The hero video on the home page has a static image fallback when reduced motion is enabled or video playback is unavailable.
  • Third-party analytics scripts (Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity) are loaded with deferred execution to minimise impact on page performance.

05. Assistive technology.

We test with common assistive tools during development.

  • Screen readers including VoiceOver and NVDA.
  • Keyboard-only navigation across all interactive flows.
  • Browser zoom up to 200 percent without loss of content or functionality.
  • If you encounter a barrier with your specific assistive technology, please contact us. We will work to resolve it.

06. Feedback and remediation.

We welcome reports of accessibility barriers. Every report is reviewed.

  • Email accessibility@vitranovasurfaces.com with a description of the issue, the page URL, and the browser or assistive technology you are using.
  • We aim to acknowledge every report within five business days.
  • Remediation timelines depend on severity. Critical barriers that block access to core content are prioritised.

07. Continuous improvement.

Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time audit.

  • We conduct periodic reviews of the website against WCAG 2.1 AA criteria.
  • New components are built to design system accessibility standards before deployment.
  • The Effective and Last Updated dates at the top of this page reflect the most recent revision of this statement.
